Vacaville City Council
District 3

COMMITTED TO OUR COMMUNITY

For the past four years as your City Councilmember, I’ve been dedicated to fulfilling our commitment to the people of Vacaville.

Your vote by November 5, 2024, will allow me to continue our commitment to the community as your Vacaville City Councilmember, District 3.

Honoring the Past...
...Paying it Forward to Our Future

Family is everything. I do not take for granted the sacrifices my ancestors have made for me and others.

My father immigrated from Mexico. My mother moved around too often as a child, at times homeless. Both grew up in poverty and worked hard to break the cycle of poverty, not for themselves, but for their children. As a professor of biotechnology, elected servant leader, and family man, I am guided by the same dedicated work ethic and commitment to leave the world a better place for generations to come my parents instilled in me.

SUSTAINING THE AMERICAN DREAM FOR ALL

As your current City Councilmember, District 3, I have followed through on my commitment to our community.

Committed to OUR LOCAL ECONOMY

As a biotechnology professor, I champion workforce development and the recruitment of biomanufacturing companies that provide livable wages to our city. I successfully advocated for tens of millions of dollars to be reinvested in our small businesses and city infrastructure.

COMMITTED TO PUBLIC SAFETY

I am honored to have the support of our police officers and firefighters. We must continue to support the staffing, equipment, and training as they commit to be there in our time of need.

COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING HOUSING FOR ALL INCOME LEVELS

Advocated and approved the first three affordable senior and workforce housing developments for Vacaville in the past 20 years! I will ensure future housing developments support our community.

COMMITTED TO COLLABORATING WITH FELLOW POLICYMAKERS

My re-election bid has been endorsed by U.S. Congressman Mike Thompson, State Senator Bill Dodd, Assemblymember Lori Wilson, and the entire Solano County Board of Supervisors. We will continue to collaborate on critical issues related to infrastructure, water rights, energy, environment, and public safety.

Committed to VACAVILLE RESIDENTS

Actively involved in supporting neighborhood clean-ups, recreational scholarships, cultural events, and improving public spaces—especially Play- 4-All, Trower Park, and De Colores Park and Malquias Montoya Community Center —ensuring everyone has a place to enjoy and prosper.

COMMITTED TO YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

As a coach, scout leader, community leader, educator, and father, I find inspiration in our youth as they work hard to create better lives for themselves, their families, and our community. Stay connected to find ways to support ongoing efforts!
